Don Cherry's Art Deco reunites him with Charlie Haden and Billy Higgins from the Ornette Coleman Quartet, joined by James Clay on tenor for a supple post-bop and contemporary jazz set. Originally issued in 1989 on A&M Records, this Verve By Request reissue presents the session in a 2023 vinyl edition released November 10, 2023. The program pairs Cherry originals with standards such as Body and Soul and Bemsha Swing, showcasing his melodic yet adventurous approach.
