Alfred Döblin's “Berlin Alexanderplatz” was part of the heady flowering of Weimar culture. It describes the grimy street life of Berlin in the last years of the republic, when the Nazi gangs were growling in the background and poverty stalked the streets.

Binding of book is intact. Moderate amount, of wear and tear on covers, including spots of age, foxing and creasing on top edge of spine. Fairly heavy tanning and foxing around edges of book. Some foxing on insides of covers and on first and final few pages of book. Otherwise pages in clean and good condition.
