This short survey of British inter-war foreign policy was originally written for publication in Germany, where twelve years of Nazi control of opinion and writing, together with the physical devastation of the Second World War, had largely destroyed the foundations upon which study of twentieth-century history could be built.

Published 1954.

Binding of book is intact. Darkening on cloth covers of book. Edges of spine slightly rubbed off. Now wrapped in plastic jacket. Tanning around edges of book. Name in ink, a few tears on endpapers, also there is residue left by tape. Stains run down joints of spine. Annotations in ink, slight foxing and tanning across pages. Otherwise in good condition.
