Gut

Daniel Blumberg's GUT is a raw, intimate six-song suite performed entirely by the artist, blending bass harmonica, Steinberger e-bass, synthesizer and electronic drums into an unflinchingly personal statement. Released by Mute on May 26, 2023, the album confronts illness and resilience, tracing a body stripped back and rebuilt through Blumberg's soaring vocals. The six tracks are BONE, CHEERUP, HOLDBACK, BODY, KNOCK, and GUT, and the record was produced by Daniel Blumberg and Peter Walsh. An accompanying film by Brady Corbet was created for the album and shot on 16mm, with release planned for a later date.
