This book attempts to offer a broad view of the field of hypnosis. It answers questions frequently asked by students and non-students alike, and to both classes of readers presents new material of interest and importance. In addition to discussing some of the general problems of hypnosis, it is also concerned with applications (clinical, medical, dental, and so on), techniques, dangers (real and imagined), theories (sleep, conditioning, etc., and attitudes (academic, religious, medical).
