Time Out

Time Out by the Dave Brubeck Quartet is a landmark 1959 jazz album celebrated for its pioneering use of irregular time signatures across seven tracks. Its most famous piece, Take Five, written by Paul Desmond, helped popularize modern rhythm-driven jazz and remains a touchstone of the Brubeck sound alongside Blue Rondo a la Turk. This 2015 edition released by Dol is an import pressed on 180-gram vinyl, offering a faithful presentation of Brubeck’s rhythmically inventive classics. Time Out stands as a cornerstone of Brubeck’s cool jazz approach and a landmark in American jazz history.
